Robert Downey Jr.’s First Scene As Doctor Doom

First Meetings Are Important

Close

The return of Robert Downey Jr. to the MCU is going to be one of the biggest moments in MCU history. Couple that with the fact that he will be playing Doctor Doom this time instead of reprising his role as Iron Man, and there is a lot of anticipation about what his take on Doctor Doom could actually be. It’s a totally out-there casting choice, but one that could work really well.

That very first scene of Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom will be a massive moment for Marvel Studios. They need to get it right and if the character could start off in the best way possible, it could be truly something special to see play out in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Doctor Doom is one of the most anticipated characters ever for the MCU and Downey Jr. will need to deliver in spades.

“Bob” Finally Becoming Sentry In Thunderbolts*

An Extremely Powerful Character

Close

The MCU is about to get another character that could have a massive impact on the universe as a whole. Thunderbolts* will be introducing a character named Bob into the MCU, more commonly known as Sentry. This character could be a game changer, as Sentry is one of the most powerful characters in the entire universe.

Steven Yeun was originally going to play Sentry, but Marvel Studios cast Lewis Pullman after Yeun dropped out.

It might be easy to overlook Thunderbolts* as a significant project in the MCU, considering it is about a group of villains and anti-heroes working together. There is a lot to look forward to with the movie, though, and the introduction of Sentry into the MCU is definitely one of them. The Thunderbolts are supposed to play a significant part in Avengers: Doomsday, and the rest of Marvel’s heroes will need all the help they can get when facing off against Doctor Doom.

Avengers: Secret Wars Bringing Even More Iconic Characters Together

The Possibilities Are Endless

Close

Avengers: Secret Wars is supposed to be the grand finale of the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, and with that comes the promise of a massive cast of characters coming together to overcome insurmountable odds. Moments in the MCU post-Avengers:Endgame showed what the multiverse concept is able to do with several movies bringing back beloved actors and characters from years past.

The possibilities are endless in terms of character interactions and fight scenes that were once thought impossible.

The final chapter in the Multiverse Saga is where Marvel Studios should definitely go all out in terms of exploring the entirety of Marvel’s history on film. The possibilities are endless in terms of character interactions and fight scenes that were once thought impossible. Avengers: Secret Wars could fulfill decades worth of anticipation. It’s unclear if the MCU will ever reach the heights of Avengers: Endgame in terms of financial success, but Avengers: Secret Wars has a good chance at becoming one of the biggest movies of all time because of this aspect of the movie.

The Fantastic Four Taking On Galactus

Marvel’s First Family

Close

It’s incredibly exciting that The Fantastic Four: First Steps will finally get a chance to prove how great the characters can truly be. Their cinematic history hasn’t typically been kind to them, but with the MCU finally involved, it could finally be the moment that The Fantastic Four becomes a premiere franchise for the universe. With Galactus coming, it could truly be something special.

In fact, seeing The Fantastic Four finally square-off against Galactus in a big-budget Marvel Studios film is a dream come true. Galactus is one of Marvel Comics’ greatest villains, and he definitely deserves a chance to shine in the MCU. Just picturing how the fight scenes between The Fantastic Four and Galactus, along with Silver Surfer, could go, is incredibly exciting and could show what the MCU is in store for if Galactus eventually becomes one of the universe’s big bads.

Scarlet Witch’s MCU Return

How Will She Come Back?

Close

Over the years, Wanda Maximoff has become one of the most popular characters in the MCU. She first appeared in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but became quite significant to the overall universe in Avengers: Infinity War and then WandaVision, the first TV series produced by Marvel Studios. Following that show, she embraced the villain side of her, known as the Scarlet Witch, and eventually sacrificed herself at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Despite that, fans have wanted Scarlet Witch to come back in some capacity. With Death introduced in Agatha All Along, the possibility of Wanda eventually returning to the MCU is that much stronger. Her return could have huge ramifications for the universe and also provide some juicy character drama as her two sons have returned to the MCU as well, older and in different bodies than they once were.

Daredevil Fighting Bullseye

They Had Some Amazing Fights

Close

Daredevil: Born Again is one of the most highly anticipated projects the MCU currently has that is set to be released. After appearances in a handful of other projects, Matt Murdock finally gets the spotlight once again for a brand-new series set within the MCU. Daredevil: Born Again was originally conceived as a sort-of reboot for the character with Charlie Cox continuing as Matt Murdock. Things change, of course, and the series has officially been confirmed as a continuation of the Netflix series that ran for three seasons.

Bullseye will also get a brand-new costume in the series, after he originally fought in the Daredevil costume on the Netflix show.

Because it is now a continuation, storylines that were never concluded in the original series could finally be followed up on. This bodes well for Bullseye, who’s journey ended on a cliffhanger. His fight scenes with Daredevil are some of the best superhero fights of all time and his return opens up the opportunity for even more fights to come. It’s a very exciting time to be a Daredevil fan.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Interacting With Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

What Dreams Are Made Of

Close

Over two decades ago, Hugh Jackman took on the role of Wolverine while Tobey Maguire suited up as Spider-Man. They were easily the two biggest heroes at the time, but the possibility of them ever interacting with each other was essentially zero, given Fox owned the rights to Wolverine while Sony controlled Spider-Man. That all changed when the Multiverse Saga made it so that Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman both returned to their roles in MCU movies.

With Avengers: Secret Wars promising to bring even more characters than ever together, a meeting over two decades in the making between two of the most iconic characters in Marvel film history seems like a very good possibility. It’s legitimately what dreams are made of and will give both Jackman and Maguire the chance to play their characters at least one more time. It’s going to be so exciting.

The X-Men Being The Main Focus After Secret Wars

Bring On The Mutants

Close

After Disney bought Fox, everyone was wondering when the X-Men would be joining the MCU. Well, over the course of the Multiverse Saga, mutants have been hinted at and quietly integrated into the universe, though all the big name X-Men have only appeared in alternate universes, like Beast at the end of The Marvels or a number of mutants in Deadpool & Wolverine. When the MCU officially incorporates X-Men into the sacred timeline, it will be one of the biggest moments in MCU history.

Kevin Feige recently discussed when the X-Men would finally be focused on, and he indicated that they will play a major role following the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. This is a smart move as it makes the next Saga incredibly important. Fans have been longing for the X-Men to finally join the MCU and in only a few short years, they will most likely become one of the flagship franchises for Marvel Studios.

The Young Avengers Finally Forming

A Fun Group Of New Heroes

Close

The MCU has steadily been including members of the Young Avengers throughout various projects in Phase 4-5, but none of them have officially teamed up yet. Most of the members are already present in the universe, and Wiccan is currently looking for his brother Speed. When he finds him, it feels like it will be time for the MCU to finally do their Young Avengers movie.

Despite being relatively new in the comics compared to other teams like the Avengers, the Young Avengers have grown to be quite popular, and that shows Marvel Studios’ willingness to incorporate members of the team throughout various MCU projects. The foundation is there, it is just now up to Marvel to decide when best to get the team together. When it happens, though, a Young Avengers team could be a good way to change the superhero team formula compared to something like the Avengers movies.

Miles Morales Eventually Joining The MCU

One Of The Best Legacy Characters

Close

Sometimes, it could be hard for legacy characters to be good enough to lead their own projects. A lot of times, there isn’t enough to them as a character to justify it, but Miles Morales is different. Alongside Wally West’s Flash over at DC, Miles Morales is probably the best legacy comic book character of all time. Although Peter Parker is the de facto Spider-Man for a lot of people, Miles has been able to carve out his own identity and be his own Spider-Man.

Miles has a very successful animated movie franchise, but Marvel has shown interest in having Miles Morales joining the MCU at some point in the future. At this point, it really isn’t a matter of if, it’s more of when he actually will. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man looks to get another trilogy following his first one, and it’s almost certain that Miles Morales will be introduced in one of those movies, setting up the perfect way to keep Spider-Man in the MCU whenever Tom Holland decides to call it quits as the character.
