Another Codename: The Memory Game

In Codename Alternative: Memories, players will guide the protagonist, Ashley Mizuki Robbins, through the mysterious locations of Bloody Edward Island and Lake Juliet. Throughout the game, players must solve various puzzles to progress, which is exactly the same as the game mechanics of the original game.

Non-player characters are still presented in a visual novel style, but now feature voice acting and fully rendered 3D models for an enhanced immersive experience. A new feature introduced with the remaster is an optional hint system, which provides upgrade hints to players who may get stuck or miss important puzzle elements. This new addition is designed to help players overcome challenges and progress through the game without sacrificing the sense of accomplishment that comes from solving puzzles independently.

Another code name: Memory plot

In Another Code: Memories, the plot unfolds through two interrelated stories. The first story takes place in 2005, when thirteen-year-old Ashley Mizuki Robbins arrives on Bloody Edward Island with her aunt Jessica after receiving a letter from her father Richard, who was thought to be dead.

After Jessica disappears, Ashley begins exploring the island and encounters a ghostly boy named D. Together they search for clues to Jessica and Richard’s whereabouts while also delving into D’s forgotten memories within Edward’s mansion.

The second storyline takes place two years later and follows 16-year-old Ashley as she embarks on a camping trip to Lake Juliet. Haunted by memories of her mother, Sayoko, from 13 years ago, Ashley sets out on a search for answers. Along the way, she connects with Matthew Crusoe, a 13-year-old runaway searching for his missing father. Ashley’s journey becomes intertwined with Matthew’s search for answers as they unravel the mysteries surrounding Lake Juliet.
