Automobilista 2 is an immersive racing simulator developed by Reiza Studios under the leadership of Renato Simioni. The game was initially released as an Early Access version through Steam on March 31, 2020, and then the V1.0 official version was released on June 30, 2020.

Live track 3.0 is a dynamic track surface simulation that enhances realism through replicated rubber, heating/cooling effects, and dynamic weather conditions including rain and puddles.
With significant improvements in vehicle physics, force feedback, audio and the implementation of Livetrack 3.0, Automobilista 2 delivers an immersive and realistic racing experience.
Players can even select any date and time between now and 1979 to experience realistic weather conditions that affect vehicle handling. The attention to detail extends to the foliage beside the track adjusting to the selected time. Automobilista 2 1.5.5.5 Hotfix 2 Update Patch Notes
Reiza Studios has released the much-anticipated Automobilista 2 1.5.5.5 Hotfix 2 update, marking the end of the Le Mans development cycle. This final update brings enhancements to the graphics and track objects across the board, concluding the V1.5.X physics development.

Notably, AI behavior has been significantly improved, enhancing interaction with each other and with the player. In addition to the update, three new DLC packs have been released, namely the Brazilian Racing Legends, Supercars, and Historic Tracks Packs.

General
- Added local blue flags to the track flag panel during live races
- Fixed an issue with loading the safety car in events with flag rules disabled
- Fixed issue with enabling FCY option when flag rules are disabled; added warning to user if flag rule setting change would introduce scheduled FCY
- When the track is lit with yellow lights, the trackside vehicle beacon lights will flash
- Fixed an issue where the “Close to Lead Car” timer would not work for the leading driver when the full yellow lights were on; Display the remaining time to catch up with the car ahead more quickly when the full yellow lights were on
- Fixed an issue where the engine would always stop when pitting
- Changed the “largest visible vehicle” algorithm to use the lap distance and weights to other vehicles in the pit when the observed vehicle is in the pit, and vice versa

- Added missing translation in “Scheduled Full Yellow” setting and correctly hides it when the rule setting is disabled

- Minor aerodynamic tweaks to the LD versions of Group C and GT1 cars (reduced drag and slightly increased drag lift for more accurate top speed and overall performance)
- Adjusted player and AI draft effects (drafts are generally more powerful than before)
- Adjusted dirty air effects to compensate for the increased overall ventilation effect (turbulence is still more noticeable overall than before)

- Added logic for tracks to shrink AI corridors
- AI corridor shrinking is now disabled for AI that is following the player and for AI that is crossing overlapping traffic

- Effect of reduced water saturation on AI grip levels

- Le Mans: added seasonal grid road signs; adjusted arrow signs; general mapping/blending corrections; added remaining buildings and TSO; adjusted static objects; further adjusted LOD; further adjusted trackside cameras
- Added 3D trees to Monza (all versions)
- Added track flag panels for Jerez and Cascais
- Fontana: Adjust the trackside cameras to modern cameras as a tribute to Gil de Ferran.
