Brooks & Dunn is a famous American country music duo composed of Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn. They began working together in 1990 at the suggestion of songwriter and record producer Tim DuBois. Prior to joining forces, Brooks and Dunn both had solo careers in the 1980s, each having two chart-topping solo singles. Brooks even released an album in 1989 and wrote hits for other artists.

Once they joined forces, they signed with Arista Nashville and had great success.
