“Cyberpunk 2077” Update 2.1 Patch Notes
CD Projekt Red has shared details about the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.1, which will be released alongside the Ultimate Edition on December 5. During a Twitch livestream, Cyberpunk 2077 producer Monika Janowska and mission director Paweł Sasko, as well as senior community managers Amelia Kołat and Alicja Kozera, revealed that the patch will incorporate the highly anticipated subway system.

Sasko explained that the decision to include the subway system was influenced by its presence in the original Cyberpunk 2077 trailer and the Phantom Free movie trailer. This addition is intended to fulfill a long-standing request from the community.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1
Listed below are all the updates and new features in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1.
colorblind mode
There are three color blindness options available:
- protanopia
- green blindness
- tritanopia
subtitle
Players can enable movie, broadcast, and overhead subtitles. Movie subtitles display voiceover subtitles at the bottom of the screen, while overhead subtitles display background dialogue above the NPC’s heads.
text size and top text size
This option allows players to resize movie, broadcast, and overhead subtitles to improve readability. The player has six text size options and five oversubtitle options – ranging in size from 32 to 62.
background opacity
A slider to adjust the background opacity of movie subtitles, improving the visibility of the subtitles.
Aim assist
This setting enhances how helpful the game is to the player when aiming. Aim Assist has three separate settings: Melee Aim Assist, Vehicle Combat, and Ranged Combat Aim Assist.
level:
- Ranged Combat: Off, Light, Standard, and Substantive.
- Melee: Off, Light, Standard.
- Vehicle Combat: Toggle on and off.
Capture target
Toggle switch that allows target acquisition when aiming with a firearm.
Additional camera movement

This setting reduces the amount of secondary camera movement, which may help players suffering from motion sickness.
weapon swing
Toggle to determine whether weapon swing when aiming is applied to camera or weapon position
Controller vibration
Allows players to adjust the vibration level of their controller.
Screen dot covers center
When turned on, this switch adds a dot to the center of the screen to help prevent motion sickness.
User interface tactile feedback
Switch to disable haptic feedback when interacting with the user interface
Features brought by Update 2.1
larger font
Toggles to change certain font sizes in the user interface. This change will mainly affect:
- Most tooltips
- Most settings screens
- Loading screen tips
- Load and save some elements on the menu
- The button prompt is located in the lower right corner of the screen
- Category name in inventory
- HUB Menu – includes available numbers and text above skill/attribute buttons
- database entry
- Small tweaks in the log
- Adjustments to the crafting/upgrading panel
- Statistical data
- Make small adjustments to the scanner.
- Number of items available in the wardrobe
- The number of crafting components in the backpack
- Quantity of items – including consumables, food and drink.
Hacking mini-game time limit
Removed timer in Agreement Violation mini-game.
Larger HUD elements
Increased HUD size toggle switch to make it larger for better readability.
Remove HUD visual effects
Eliminates the chromatic aberration effect in the HUD, also known as “ghosting”.This effect can mainly be seen on the minimap, tracking missions, current weapons, available equipment and items

Reduce HUD decorative elements
This option hides unnecessary elements of the game from the HUD to reduce clutter and improve visibility.
Eliminate HUD lens distortion
Disables the HUD’s lens distortion effect. This mainly affects the settings menu and minimap.
Weapons cycle to arm cyber software
An option to enable or disable cycling when cycling equipped weapons to arm cyberware.
Adaptive triggering and trigger effect strength
There is a switch to disable the adaptive trigger on the DualSense controller and a slider to control its strength.

You explore Night City and its surrounding areas, each with its own style and challenges. You can walk or drive around the different scenery. The game has a day and night cycle and changing weather, which affects the behavior of other characters.
You talk to other characters, perform tasks for people called “fixers,” and participate in many activities such as hacking, boxing, racing, and more.
The choices you make in the game will affect how things turn out, and there will be different endings based on your decisions. There is a special thing called “Braindance” that allows V to see other people’s memories.
As you play, you can earn points, unlock new skills, and explore a world full of different things.
