After defeating the Demon Prince at the Earthpeak Ruins, players are teleported by winged demons to the Ringed City, where they encounter a variety of inhabitants, some loyal to Gwen and others who worship the Abyss.

Players are tasked by Shira, the Knight of Firanor, to stop Darkeater Midir from succumbing to darkness and protect the sleeping Princess of Firanor in order to protect the city from imminent danger. As players progress, they will face Halflight, the guardian of Firanor and Gwen’s daughter, and eventually awaken Firanor from her slumber.

However, they soon encounter the slave knight Gael, who has been consumed by the power of the Dark Soul. In a fierce battle, the player defeats Gael and takes the Dark Soul. Returning to the Painted Woman, the player offers the Dark Soul to create a new Painted World that can be named after them, thus concluding their epic journey through the Ringed City.

Dark Souls 3: The Circle City gameplay
