Dragon Quest Builders Chapter 3 Challenge
1. Complete the chapter within 30 days:
- Time management is critical; make effective decisions and move quickly to meet 30-day chapter deadlines.
- Prioritizes tasks and objectives to ensure a focused approach to successfully complete chapters within the stipulated time.
2. Build your base to level 5:
- Strengthen your base by gradually improving its structure and functionality until you reach level 5.
- Invest effort in building and upgrading various elements of your base, such as buildings, facilities, and defensive structures.
- When your base reaches a designated level, additional features, benefits, and abilities are unlocked, helping to strengthen and improve the settlement overall.
3. Defeat all trolls and giant bosses:
- In Chapter 3, encounter and conquer challenging Troll and Giant bosses (two of each) across various islands.
- Unlock sinister furniture options in Terra Incognita by defeating these powerful monsters.
- First Troll Location: South of Cole, go through the gate and continue south to face a towering monster.
- Second Troll Location: Go through the blue portal, fight the knight and the magician, and find the imprisoned troll. Defeat him and get the valuable loot.
- First Gigante Location: Go through the red portal and head northwest until you find a snowman-like structure. Continue due north to face the mighty Hulk.
- Second Giant Location: Go through the green portal and head southeast through the mountains to face the last towering hulk in Chapter 3.
4. Complete the spectacular spa blueprint:
- Find the blueprint for a spectacular spa hidden in the caves outside the green portal. Each playthrough will be randomized, explore the caves until you find the treasure chest containing the blueprint.
- Return to your base, place the blueprint and craft the Spa, placing it below the pedestal level to use hot water crystals, thus enhancing its capabilities.
- Additional requirements: Get the “Ferocious Fountain” recipe and build a hot spring. Go west from the blue portal, climb the chalk hill, and explore to find the recipe.
5. Discover the recipe for the Ancient Slime Harp:
- Prepare 15 blue blocks and go through the red portal. Find the cave entrance on the eastern cliff.
- Use the blue blocks to overcome the unbreakable evil idols, make your way through the caves, open the treasure chests and learn the recipe for the Ancient Slime Harp.

Dragon Quest Builders Plot
In the game, players are placed in Alefgard, the familiar world from the original Dragon Quest. The storyline takes a unique twist based on the alternate ending of Dragon Quest, where the hero agrees to share the world with the evil Dragon King before the final battle.

Unfortunately, this arrangement proves to be a cunning trap, leading to the hero’s failure, and monsters subsequently ruling the land. In time, a new Builder, represented by the player character, emerges, with the mission of repopulating the desolate world for the next hero.
The gameplay revolves around players collecting important “materials” scattered around the world. Collecting materials is the key to completing the grand task of rebuilding the entire continent of Alefgard.
As players embark on a journey of reconstruction, they must strategically acquire and utilize materials to undo the damage done by the past, provide the world with a fresh start, and pave the way for new heroes to emerge.
