Eagles Overview
The Eagles are a famous American rock band founded in 1971 and achieved remarkable success in the 1970s. The band, whose founding members include Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, originally came together while working with Linda Ronstadt and later formed their own band under David Geffen’s Asylum Records label.
Their debut album in 1972, which included hits such as “Take It Easy” and “Witchy Woman,” laid the foundation for their success in the music industry. The Eagles’ roster went through some changes over the years, with Don Felder and later Joe Walsh joining the team. The band produced chart-topping albums such as 1976’s “Hotel California” and 1979’s “The Long Run.”
After a temporary breakup in 1980, they reunited in 1994 for Hell Freezes Over and continued to captivate audiences with 2007’s Long Road Out of Eden, among other works. Despite challenges, including the death of founding member Glenn Frey in 2016 and the departure of Deacon Frey in 2022 (later returning in 2023), the Eagles persevered with their final tour, leaving an enduring mark as one of the world’s best-selling and most influential rock bands.
