How to find the Shrouded Alchemist?
Finding Alchemist Balthazar in Enshrouded requires a detailed journey. First, head to the northwest area of the map from your starting point, where you’ll find the Ancient Vault. However, getting there directly is difficult, so consider an easier route starting from the Ancient Spire – Springlands.
Start by reaching the Ancient Spire, which is north of your starting point. Solve the platform puzzle to reach the top. Then, glide west from the Ancient Spire’s fast travel point until you land near a ruined building in the woodlands. Continue on foot toward the Ancient Crypt, and be prepared to use dodge and roll moves to traverse the tricky terrain.

As you approach the Ancient Vault, you’ll encounter enemies outside. Defeat the initial enemies and find a red sphere with stairs. Climb up and face more enemies in a red fortress. Once you’ve cleared the obstacles, enter the Ancient Vault. Inside, go left from the entrance to find a room with red smoke and enemies.
Defeat them and take the stairs on the left, then switch to the long stairs on the right. Keep going until you reach a hallway, then turn right to find the room with the Alchemist’s pod. Deal with the two melee guards protecting the pod, defeat them, and interact with the pod to obtain Alchemist Balthazar. Use the fast travel point to return to base, build a shelter for the Alchemist, and place him inside, adding a valuable ally to your team.
