Escape from Tarkov Gunsmith Part 1

Taking on the Gunsmith in Escape from Tarkov Part 1 feels like diving into a complex mission. This mission adds to the game’s reputation of being tough on newbies, especially if you’re not a firearms expert. But don’t worry, I’m going to walk you through the steps of Conquering the Gunsmith Part 1 and break them down one by one.

Task requirements:

To complete this mission, you need an MP-133 shotgun that meets certain criteria:

  1. MP-133 Shotgun: Pick one up.
  2. Durability: It should be durable with stats of 60 or higher.
  3. Ergonomics: Firearms require an ergonomics value of 47 or higher.
  4. Recoil: Keep recoil below 850.
  5. Extended magazine: Equipped with extended magazine.
  6. Tactical Gear: Additional tactical gear.
  7. Space: Guns should take up four or fewer inventory slots.

Parts you need:

Thankfully, you can get most of the components from Loyalty Level 1 merchants or even find them while scavenging. The list is as follows:

  1. MP-133 Shotgun: Skier Loyalty Level 1.
  2. Zenit RK-6 Tactical Foregrip: Skier Loyalty Level 1.
  3. NcSTAR Tactical Blue Laser LAM Module: Skier Loyalty Level 1.
  4. ME Cylinder 12ga Muzzle Adapter: Jaeger Loyalty Level 1.
  5. MP-133/153 Plastic Pistol Grip: Jaeger Loyalty Level 1.
  6. MP-133 Custom Plastic Forest Wood with Rails: Jaeger Loyalty Level 2 or barter with Machinist Loyalty Level 1 for a damaged hard drive.
  7. GK-02 12ga Muzzle Brake: Jaeger Loyalty Level 2.

Assemble the shotgun:

Now, the tricky part – putting everything together.

  1. Disassemble the MP-133 shotgun: Double-click the gun, click “Inspect”, and drag off all attachments. The gun icon turns red, but this is normal.
  2. Connect New Parts: Add new components you’ve acquired.
  3. Inspect and turn in: Make sure the shotgun meets requirements, then turn it in. You will unlock Gunsmith Part 2 and receive rewards such as 10,000 rubles, nuts, bolts and gas blocks for level 1 mechanic loyalty.

Final tip:

If the mechanic rejects your masterpiece, double-check the durability and make sure the gun is empty.

Gunsmith Part 1 is just an obstacle in the early game of Escape from Tarkov. If you’re struggling to complete other quests, such as the Golden Loot quest, our guide can help. Happy hunting!

Escape from Tarkov gameplay

Escape from Tarkov is a gritty, survival-focused game where you have to fight to survive. You can play as a soldier (PMC) or a scavenger, scavenge equipment or practice offline. Each raid takes you to a map, and your goal is to get to the other side and escape. But it’s not easy – you’re up against other players and AI enemies. Finding cool weapons and gear is key, but if you die, you lose everything you brought with you. If you’re unlucky, insuring your gear can help you recover it. The game is very hands-off, with very little information on the screen. As a scavenger, you receive random gear and join ongoing raids. After that, there’s a cooldown before you can join again. Between raids, you can trade loot, buy new gear, and complete quests from merchants to unlock better stuff. Combat is very realistic, with in-depth weapon customization, health management, and even the ability to keep tabs on your character’s energy and hydration levels.

Escape from Tarkov plot

In Escape from Tarkov, the story takes place in a city called Tarkov, which is plagued by political scandals and corporate failures. The story is set in Russia from 2015 to 2026. Players take on the role of USEC or BEAR, two competing PMCs, each with their own goals and equipment preferences. The game is all about survival – players explore different maps in search of loot while fighting against AI-controlled enemies and other players.

The main goal is to survive and escape from the city. Searching for gear, completing missions, and traversing dangerous terrain are all part of the challenge. There is a deep, immersive world to explore, with different factions and locations offering unique experiences. Battlestate Games plans to expand the gameplay by creating an open world that combines all the different areas. Overall, it’s about survival, strategy, and navigating dangerous, war-torn cities.
