F1 23 Gameplay
F1 23 reintroduces Braking Point, the engaging story mode originally introduced in F1 2021. This time, the sequel “Brake Point 2.0” welcomes familiar characters: the main villain Devin Butler and the protagonist Aiden Jackson.

Joining them will be veteran retired rider Casper Akkerman, who is also set to return to racing. However, the narrative expands with new additions. Devon Butler’s sister, Callie Mayer, appears as a new character alongside their father, Butler Global CEO Davidoff Butler.
Andreo Konner, founder and owner of Konnersport and former F1 team principal for the 2022 season, also weighed in on the storyline. This rich narrative experience is enhanced by live action scenes similar to those in Grid Legends.
The driving physics in F1 23 have been completely revamped, promising a more realistic and immersive racing experience. A notable feature is the introduction of the option to set a 35% race distance, allowing players to tailor gameplay to their liking.
The red flag, last seen in F1 2014, has returned, adding an extra layer of realism and unpredictability to the race. The game’s user interface (UI) has been redesigned to reflect the presentation style of current Formula 1 races, resulting in an enhanced sense of realism.
Exciting new additions to the My Team Icons pack include famous figures such as 1992 World Champion Nigel Mansell, W Series driver Jamie Chadwick (who also contributed to the development of Braking Point 2), ex-Williams Driver Pastor Maldonado and former Toyota reserve driver and Sauber and Caterham driver Kamui Kobayashi. Additionally, pre-orders for the game include the opportunity to play as characters from Braking Point 2, adding an extra incentive for eager players.
F1 23 delivers a comprehensive gaming experience by combining engaging narrative elements, enhanced driving physics, immersive race distance options, and a user interface reminiscent of real-world Formula 1 broadcasts. With these enhancements and rich features, the game is expected to appeal to racing enthusiasts and fans of interactive stories.
