Who is the fish?
Derek William Dick, better known by his stage name Fish, is a Scottish singer, songwriter and actor. Notably, he was the lead singer and songwriter for the neo-prog band Marillion from 1981 to 1988, achieving great success with 11 UK Top 40 singles and five Top Ten albums.
His solo career expanded into contemporary pop and traditional folk, producing five Top 40 singles and a Top 10 album. Fish’s unique voice has been described as a cross between Roger Daltrey and Peter Gabriel, and his poetic prose lyrics contributed greatly to Marillion’s rise.
Classic Rock magazine ranked him 49th on its list of the “100 Greatest Lead Vocalists” in recognition of his performances. In 2009, listeners of Planet Rock magazine voted Fish the 37th greatest singer in rock music.

Farewell Islands Tour UK Tour
Renowned progressive rock icon FISH has announced his farewell tour, Road To The Isles, which will take him across Europe, with additional dates to be added due to overwhelming demand. The UK leg of the 2025 tour has now been revealed.
Fish, whose career spans four decades, will bid farewell to audiences with thirteen moving shows across England and Scotland, starting in Haddington and ending in Glasgow.
