To get the Dire Tail, you have to follow a few steps. First, you need to defeat a specific boss called Saga Illustrated: Hellfire. Once you defeat this boss, a character called Siero will start selling Dire Tail. However, you can’t just buy them with regular currency. Instead, you have to exchange five Jindalia Badges for each Dire Tail.

Earning the Golden Dalia Badges isn’t easy. You have to complete online quick quests in Granblue Fantasy Relink to get them. This may require you to play with other people online, even if you normally prefer to play alone. It’s a challenge, but it’s worth it to get the Dreadful Tails.

Once you have the Dire Tails, you can use them to make your weapons better. They help you increase the level of your weapons and improve their abilities. This is very important in the game, as more powerful weapons allow you to defeat powerful enemies more easily and advance through the storyline.

The terrible tail position in Granblue Fantasy Relink

In Granblue Fantasy Relink, the search for Dreaded Tails is tied to a specific quest called Saga Illustrated: Hellfire. This quest is the only place in the game where you can get Dreaded Tails. This quest is only available on Maniac difficulty. To access this difficulty level, you need to increase your Skyfarer level.

This is a tough challenge that features a boss fight with Vulkan Bolla in the Volcano Arena. The recommended Power Level for this quest is 9,000, indicating the difficulty of the encounter. While it is possible to attempt the quest at a lower Power Level than the recommended Power Level, it is recommended to only tackle Saga Illustrated: Hellfire once you have reached or exceeded a 9,000 Power Level.

It’s important to note that there’s no guarantee of getting a Dreadful Tails during this quest. They don’t drop after you complete the quest; instead, you have a chance to get them. This means you may need to invest some time and effort into completing the quest to increase your chances of getting these valuable items.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink Development

Development on Granblue Fantasy: Relink began in August 2016 under the title Project Granblue Fantasy Re: Link. The game is a collaboration between PlatinumGames and Cygames, with composers such as Nobuo Uematsu and Akira Narita, and artist Hideo Minaba.

Originally announced for PlayStation 4 in September 2016, the game is scheduled for release in 2018 and is set in the same fictional world as the original Granblue Fantasy, but explores different locations and features familiar characters. Gameplay was first revealed at GranBlue Fes 2017, when the game was revealed to feature either four-player cooperative multiplayer or a single-player mode with three AI characters.

In December 2018, the official title of the game was announced as Granblue Fantasy: Relink. However, by February 2019, PlatinumGames withdrew from the project and Cygames took over full development responsibilities. PlatinumGames’ Relink director Yasuyuki Kaji continued to develop the game with Cygames until completion.

Originally scheduled for release in 2018, the release date of Granblue Fantasy: Relink was postponed, first to 2022, then further to 2023, and finally scheduled for February 1, 2024. In order to give players a preview, a playable demo was released on January 11, 2024, allowing fans to experience the fun of the game before the official release.
