Granblue Fantasy Relink Roadmap
Cygames recently revealed the roadmap for Granblue Fantasy: Relink during their showcase, outlining exciting post-launch plans for the action-RPG.
New Characters Arrival:
- Seofon and Tweyen: In April, players can look forward to the addition of new characters Seofon and Tweyen, expanding the roster of playable characters.
The final showdown with Lucilius:
- March Boss Battle: March brings an intense final showdown featuring Lucilius, a powerful opponent capable of challenging level 100 characters.
Ver.1.3.0 May Update:
- Mysterious content: Version 1.3.0 was released in May, promising new content. Details are still a mystery, making us look forward to the surprises to come.
Game Release:
- Available Platforms: Granblue Fantasy: Relink will be released on PS4, PS5, and PC on February 1. A free console demo will be available on January 12, which will offer previews of the story mode, tutorial, quest mode, and 11 characters.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink was originally announced in August 2016 as Project Granblue Fantasy Re: Link, a collaboration between PlatinumGames and Cygames. The game’s production credits include composers Nobuo Uematsu and Akira Narita, and artist Hideo Minaba. Originally planned for a 2018 release on PlayStation 4, the game is set in the same fantasy world as the original Granblue Fantasy, but in a different location and features some familiar characters.
Gameplay was first shown at GranBlue Fes 2017, showcasing features such as four-player cooperative multiplayer or single-player with three AI characters. The official title, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, was announced in December 2018. By February 2019, PlatinumGames withdrew from the project, leaving Cygames to handle the remaining development. Yasuyuki Kaji, who had been directing Relink with PlatinumGames from the beginning, continued to work with Cygames on the game until its completion.
