Headies Award Voting Site

Winners of the awards are determined in two ways: public voting in categories open to the public, and rigorous evaluation by members of the Headies jury, which can also be found on the official website at theheadies.com

Public Vote:

For some categories, the public has the opportunity to participate in the voting process. This means fans and lovers of Nigerian music can vote for their favorite nominees in these specific categories. The public’s vote plays an important role in determining the winner.

Headies Jury Says:

In addition to public voting, Headies employs a distinguished panel of experts called the Headies Jury. The panel is comprised of experienced individuals with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian music industry. Jury members carefully analyze and evaluate nominees based on a variety of criteria including artistic talent, impact, creativity and overall excellence. Their critical evaluation plays a vital role in determining winners in closed voting categories.

Winners in each category are selected through a combination of public voting input and critical analysis by the Headies judging panel. This dual approach ensures a fair and balanced decision-making process that incorporates the preferences of the public and the expertise of industry professionals.
