Hearthstone Balance Patch, Hearthstone Patch 28.2

Hearthstone

Hearthstone is a popular free online card game produced by Blizzard Entertainment. Originally called Warcraft Heroes, it featured the exciting stories and characters from the Warcraft series. It became available for Windows and macOS in 2014, and later for iOS and Android. In the game, players use 30 cards and choose a hero with special abilities. They take turns using mana crystals to cast spells and summon creatures in an attempt to defeat the opposing player’s hero.

Winning matches and completing missions earns in-game gold and prizes, allowing players to acquire new cards to improve their decks. Hearthstone has different game modes such as casual and ranked matches, arena, and solo adventure. It is also a popular eSport with tournaments offering cash prizes. People love it because it feels like a physical card game, but in a fun digital way. As of November 2018, the number of players of this game has exceeded 100 million, which shows how much people around the world love this game.

Hearthstone Balance Patch

The latest Hearthstone update is ready for the World Championship, with tweaks to the game for better balance and a cooler gaming experience. Rather than making major changes, the developers have made careful adjustments and are happy with the current variety of classes. They make Enraged Warriors less powerful and Sif Mages easier to deal with. They also buffed weaker archetypes with new cards.

Some cards like Curious Creation and Thoribelore were made stronger or weaker. Affected players can receive a full refund for three weeks. The developers will be keeping a close eye on this and plan to make more changes after Worlds. Athletes are invited to participate in the World Championships on December 16th and 17th. The update also brings bug fixes and gameplay improvements, showing that the developers care about a smooth and fun experience for all Hearthstone players.

Hearthstone Patch 28.2

Hearthstone Updates

Developer Comment: This is our world balance patch! We specifically ask for this early balance window so we can make the changes we think will make the coolest world possible! Overall, we think the meta is in a good place, with most classes having something interesting to play, and most of the top decks having game modes we’re familiar with. This allows us to take a high-confidence, step-by-step approach to this patch rather than making risky, drastic changes.

Enraging the Warrior is the biggest thing we want to adjust, we want to make Sif Mage more aggressive. We also took the opportunity to buff some underperforming archetypes, especially the new cards. Excavation as a whole has a bit of love for each rarity of treasure, neutral cave busters, and some of the lower performance level excavation cards.

We have another balance patch window scheduled for shortly after Worlds ends, where we’ll be able to make more changes – possibly including some more adventurous buffs. We will be keeping an eye on the implementation of these changes and hope you can attend the World Championships on December 16th and 17th!

Bug fixes and game improvements

  • [Hearthstone] Magic Discovery will now always offer three discovery options when playing (if you’ve played enough spell schools and only have 1 or 2 left, it will fill it with random spells from the same spell school).
  • [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Kingpin Pud was unable to resurrect the entire ogre gang.
  • [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where if playing Reno, The Lone Ranger with his hero powers disabled (like playing Mind Breaker), his hero powers would not update.
  • [Hearthstone] Fixed a bug where Chaos Gazer’s effect would trigger at the end of the turn it was played, rather than at the end of the opponent’s turn.
  • [Battlegrounds] Fixed a bug where certain tavern spells were never available in the discovery options.
  • [Battlegrounds] Fixed a bug where upgraded hero powers would automatically upgrade when you upgraded the tavern.
  • [Progression] Fixed a bug that caused some players to receive the Tessaran Blood Watcher achievement upon logging in.

Hearthstone gameplay

Hearthstone is a fun card game where players battle each other using decks in the world of Warcraft. There are eleven hero classes to choose from, and players can use cards such as minions, spells, and weapons to reduce their opponents’ health to zero. The game has a mana system for casting spells and summoning minions, and cards come in different rarities. New cards are added regularly and expanded. Players can enjoy different modes such as Standard and Wild, with the option of casual and ranked play. Cards can be obtained from card packs or crafted with Arcane Dust.

There are multiple multiplayer game modes such as Arena, Tavern Brawl, Battlegrounds, Duels, and Mercenaries. The single-player adventure provides a challenge for those who prefer to play alone. Hearthstone is free to play, and players can purchase optional items to make the game even more exciting. Gameplay is strategic, fast, and suitable for all types of players.
