As the disturbing events of “Rent” unfold, Corwin marks the doll’s forehead with his own blood, causing Jia’s cries to indicate that she is trapped inside the doll. By drawing a blood amulet on his forehead, Corwin’s soul is freed and ready for transfer into another vessel. The whole process is intricate, Jaa gradually enters Ing’s body, while Ning moves towards Prae’s soul. This process seems involuntary, orchestrated by chants and symbols, culminating in Jia’s intense desire for revenge upon awakening.

Perhaps Pula’s soul faced destruction due to the shattering of the doll, leaving her without its container. Ying’s soul seems to have been sacrificed, leaving her body behind. Unfortunately, Corwin succumbed to his injuries that night. In the hospital, Jia confides in Ning, who, despite the heartbreaking news, accepts Jia as part of the family.
In the ending of Rent, Ning sees Jaa as his daughter because the body is Ings. While losing her daughter must have been traumatic for Ning, she doesn’t blame Jia. Jaa probably understands that he won’t be able to move on if Kwin meets a similar fate.
His final embrace with his father before his death illustrates the pain he endured. Despite the immense pain, Ning and Jaa became each other’s pillar of strength. Ning found solace and bonded with Ing in Jaa, who cherished the motherly figures in her life.

Houses for Rent Lots 2023
“Rent” tells the story of Ning and his family who accidentally become involved in a cult. Ning found herself helpless as her apartment was left in a dire state by its previous residents. She once had a steady source of income from renting out her apartment and now needs financial support to recover. At the suggestion of a real estate agent, Ning rented out his house and used the proceeds to renovate his apartment. Ning embarked on the road to recovery.
The disturbing notion that cults can infiltrate our urban landscapes and manipulate individuals into doing their bidding takes center stage. When Ning realizes her daughter’s dangerous situation, she bravely attempts to rescue her, only to find that her worst fears have tragically come true. At this critical moment, even her own abilities seem to betray her. “Rent” presents itself as a horror story, even as it vainly attempts to be something more.
Although it’s pitched as a horror film, it doesn’t do a great job at sustaining suspense and delivering truly creepy moments that evoke visceral fear and anticipation. The consequences are harrowing, and the underlying circumstances serve as a warning of the vast potential for true horror. The relevance of this situation reveals the lengths people may go to achieve their desires, which is at the heart of the true horror.
It also demonstrates the powerful impact grief can have on intelligent and compassionate people. Quinn’s past adds emotional depth to the plot, evoking sympathy despite his questionable actions. In addition to Ning’s family, a cult leader in a cult tree with strange eyes and ulterior motives subtly entered Kwin’s life, echoing the dynamics seen in many cults.
“Rent” fails to live up to its expectations as a traditional horror film. One could argue that it could have thrived as a drama-thriller, simply exploring the story of Corwin and his family struggling with the aftermath of grief.
The slightly opened door gave Ning a feeling of being invaded. As she prepared to close the door, a flock of crows circled nearby, evoking the foreign aunt’s morning musings. She is even more surprised when Corwin reappears in the apartment with the red book. Just as everyone was struggling to find a solution, another note was received that night with a video of Latri performing the ritual.
The foreign aunt’s departure from her country estate marks a transition. Even though Nuh said this, Ning still didn’t believe it. The Gary doll that Kwin gave to his daughter terrified Ning. Ning attempts to dispose of the doll, which she abandoned next door, but things turn ominous when it becomes an otherworldly target while she sleeps. After illuminating the room, she discovered that the ghostly intruder had disappeared.
