How many chapters are there in Granblue Fantasy: Relink?

Granblue Fantasy: Relink consists of nine main chapters, with an additional chapter after the end credits. If you choose to play casually, focusing on the story without delving into side quests, it will generally take about 20 to 25 hours. Each chapter lasts about two hours, without skipping cutscenes, which contributes to the overall experience.

The extra chapter at the end of the film is not required to watch the main story, but it can answer any unanswered questions. This shorter ending chapter takes about an hour and a half to watch.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink Chapter Contents

Even after completing the main story and bonus chapters, there’s still a lot to explore in Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Take on missed side quests, start hunts, and revisit completed quests at higher difficulty levels. If the challenge becomes too daunting, inviting friends to join your game can help you complete your quests.

It’s a personal choice whether to rush through the story or take your time with the side content. Completing the story quickly will skip some side activities and earn you less experience points. However, mastering the proper guarding skills can make the main storyline easy to follow even without exploring every detail. For a more fulfilling RPG experience, consider taking your time to enjoy the side content instead of rushing through Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Development of Granblue Fantasy Relink

Granblue Fantasy: Relink, originally titled Project Granblue Fantasy Re: Link, was announced in August 2016 as a collaboration between PlatinumGames and Cygames. The production staff includes composers Nobuo Uematsu and Akira Narita, and artist Hideo Minaba. The game was originally scheduled to be released on PlayStation 4 in 2018, but was later delayed and development plans changed.

A gameplay demo was first revealed in 2017, featuring four-player cooperative multiplayer or single-player with an AI companion. In December 2018, the official title was changed to Granblue Fantasy: Relink. By February 2019, PlatinumGames withdrew from the project, with Cygames taking over. Despite initial delays and changes, the game was eventually released on February 1, 2024, with a playable demo released on January 11, 2024.
