How to block in Tekken 8?
Learn the basics of blocking:
- To initiate a block in Tekken 8, you’ll need to press down on the left stick or D-pad. This action guides your character away from your opponent and acts as a basic defensive move.
Block high attacks:
- Blocking is effective against high attacks. By pressing back, you can form a defensive stance to block incoming high attacks, preventing any damage from reaching your character.
Low blocking technology:
- For low-post offense, execute a low block by pressing back and down at the same time. This defensive stance is crucial when your opponent incorporates low-post striking moves into their offensive strategy.
Alternating blocks:
- In order to effectively defend against various attacks, you must alternate between regular blocking (back on the joystick or directional pad) and low blocking (back and down). This strategy helps you cover both high and low attack options.

Tekken 8 Gameplay
Tekken 8 is a fighting game similar to the old Tekken games. Katsuhiro Harada, who is in charge of making the game, said that Tekken 8 will be more offensive than the previous one. This means that the game will reward players who attack frequently instead of just defending.
They added a new thing called “Heat”. When a character is in “Heat” mode, they deal more damage, gain extra moves, and change the way some of their attacks work. They can even cancel moves in this mode. “Heat” mode has a timer that stops when a character uses certain moves. If you guard against a powerful attack or a character in “Heat” mode, you will still take some damage, but you can regain health by attacking.
