How to Get Blowtorch in Pacific Drive? Blowtorch in Pacific Drive

Blowtorch on Pacific Avenue

Having a blowtorch can greatly improve your repair capabilities in Pacific Avenue. A blowtorch is an effective tool for repairing damage incurred while traveling within the Olympic area. Whether it is a car problem or other damage, having a blowtorch has many advantages over just relying on patch putty.

However, there are specific requirements to unlocking this tool. Make sure you have a basic workbench installed and a scanning antenna mounted. You’ll also need to acquire Unstable Energy, which can be found at intersections such as the Scorch and the Quagmire in the Central Zone. Once found, you’ll be better able to handle repairs, making this tool a valuable asset for tackling challenges within the Olympic Zone.

Using a blowtorch will give you better results than using patching putty alone. It provides a more comprehensive, effective solution to treating the damage, ensuring your trip through the Olympic Area’s inclement weather has a better outcome for both you and your car.

How do I get a blowtorch on Pacific Avenue?

To get the Blowtorch in Pacific Drive, follow these simple steps. First, head to Oppy’s Garage and find the Fabricator in the back room. Inside the Fabricator, navigate to the Survival Tools tab, where you’ll find the Blowtorch. Before you can unlock the Blowtorch, you’ll need to meet a few prerequisites.

Make sure you have a basic workbench installed and a scanning antenna mounted. In addition, you must acquire Unstable Energy, which can be found in the Intermediate Area, especially at intersections such as the Scorched Earth Zone and the Slough Zone. Keep an eye out for Unstable Anchors at these intersections, but be aware that during storms, they may be replaced by Corrupted Anchors. Before choosing a route, check the conditions to ensure you have the necessary Unstable Energy.

Once you have collected enough Unstable Energy, return to the Fabricator and unlock the Blowtorch blueprint. To craft the Blowtorch at a workbench, gather the required materials: Scrap Metal (x6), Plastic (x5), Glass Shards (x4), and Swamp Eggs (x80). While Swamp Eggs can be a little hard to come by, you can prepare them ahead of time while you gather Energy for the blueprint. Use a Handheld Vacuum for faster collection. Once you have all the materials, craft the Blowtorch at a workbench.

Using a blowtorch is simple. Equip a blowtorch and point it at metal parts of your car to repair them. As you use the blowtorch, the car component health bar increases, while the blowtorch usage bar decreases. In an emergency, you can also use the blowtorch to repair tires and side storage boxes, although the repair time will be slower.

Pacific Avenue

Pacific Avenue is a 2024 survival game from Ironwood Studios and Kepler Interactive. It takes place in the picturesque Pacific Northwest. Players can travel through this picturesque land on foot or in a wagon to escape. The game uses a first-person perspective and metal monsters will rush to grab the player’s vehicle, bringing challenges to the player.

Beyond survival, the wagon is a customizable asset that provides repair options and personalization in the player’s garage. Development on Pacific Road began in 2019, when creative director Alexander Dracott conceived the game while driving across the Olympic Peninsula.

Pacific Road was released on PlayStation 5 and Windows on February 22, 2024, and received critical acclaim for its immersive atmosphere, well-crafted characters, and detailed vehicle design. Despite the praise, the game was criticized for being repetitive and challenging, making the player’s journey of survival both fun and difficult.

Pacific Avenue Gameplay

In Pacific Roads, players will embark on a survival adventure set in the 1998 Olympic-restricted Pacific Northwest. The game unfolds from a first-person perspective, and players will traverse the land on foot or in a station wagon.

A unique feature of the game is that players can customize their vehicles in the garage, which serves as the game’s central base of operations. Vehicle diagnostics are managed through a headset, allowing players to troubleshoot issues such as unusual vehicle behavior (such as the horn unexpectedly sounding when turning the steering wheel). Repairs in the game range from immediate repairs such as changing a flat tire and using a blowtorch to more complex tasks handled in the garage.

The Invention Station in the garage becomes a key resource to collect materials and build machines to open new routes, refuel cars, and destroy areas. Facing challenges such as metal monsters grabbing cars and weather factors affecting vehicle handling, players must develop repair strategies and navigate electrical anomalies and obstacles.

The journey isn’t just about survival; players can discover crafting recipes, blueprints, and interact with non-player characters to escape the Olympic Exclusion Zone, while collecting energy cores in each level to unlock gates and return to the garage, triggering a shift in the game’s dynamics with increased hostility and an impending storm.
