To join friends, access the Social screen in two ways. In the center of the Royal Lounge, interact with the Social prompt on the pedestal near the swimming pool downstairs. Alternatively, open the Pause Menu and select the Social option.
In the Social screen, your friends list will show you the friends currently playing Foamstars at the top. Foamstars’ cross-platform play feature allows for seamless connectivity between PS5 and PS4 players. Select a friend from the list and use the “Invite to Group” option. Once accepted, they will join the current group list on the left. You can invite up to three friends and remove them later if needed by selecting the appropriate action or disbanding the group to disband the party.
Explore Versus mode with your friends on a team, engage in team battles or participate in co-op squad missions. Both activities earn XP, which helps your account level up and progress, potentially unlocking characters like The Baristador as you rise through the ranks.

Foamstars Different Game Modes
To play multiplayer in Foamstars, complete the tutorial when you launch the game. Once you reach the top floor of the hotel in the central lounge area, go upstairs to find a helicopter on the other side of the pool. Approach the helicopter and press the “Circle” key when prompted to “Battle”.

In the Battle menu, select a game mode you’ve unlocked, such as Smash the Star (a typical four-on-four team deathmatch mode). Once you’ve selected your mode, the match will begin. Alternatively, you can select Private Party if you want to set up a custom match or join an existing private room.
A cool feature is that it lets you change the background music for the match. With 12 tracks to choose from, you can personalize your gaming experience.
If you don’t want to walk over to the helicopter every time you play online multiplayer, press the touchpad on your controller to access the city map from the hotel. This menu is handy; select Versus at the top to quickly choose a game mode.

To team up with random players, keep automatching on and select Normal or Hard difficulty to proceed with the mission. If you would like to play with up to three friends, press the Options button, select Social, and invite your friends from your friends list to join your current group. Once everyone has joined the group, continue playing the squad mission as usual.
