For PC players, the older Global Offensive servers have been shut down to make way for Counter-Strike 2. What’s interesting, though, is that the Xbox 360 version of Global Offensive can still be played online. Therefore, Counter-Strike 2 is like a fresh start in the game, with better graphics and gameplay. However, if you enjoyed the old version of Global Offensive on PC, you won’t find these servers anymore, although Xbox 360 players can still enjoy the previous version online.

Counter-Strike 2 gameplay
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) is a multiplayer first-person shooter game in which two teams of terrorists and Counter-Strike players need to complete objectives. These objectives include planting or defusing bombs and rescuing or capturing hostages. After each round, players earn in-game currency based on their performance, which they can use to purchase weapons and tools for the next round. Winning rounds net you more money than losing rounds, and bonuses are also awarded for completing objectives or destroying enemies.

CS:GO offers nine official game modes. Competitive mode is the main mode, pitting two teams of five against each other. Players have skill levels and are matched with players of similar levels. Casual and Deathmatch are easier practice modes without friendly fire. Arms Race and Demolition are based on previous mods, while Wingman is a two-on-two bomb disposal mode.
Flying Scout is a low-gravity mode, while Recapture mode has terrorists defending planted bombs against counter-terrorists. Danger Zone is a battle royale mode. Players can purchase different types of weapons and grenades, each with unique recoil patterns. The game also features matchmaking, anti-cheat measures, and supports community-made mods and private servers.
