Mastery Classes in ArcheAge represent advanced character specializations that players can unlock in Chapter 2, significantly improving combat capabilities. To initiate this process, players must defeat Elder Pannion and venture to the game’s central hub area, End of Time. The Forgotten Knight will offer the quest “The Power of Mastery” to guide players to Elder Gaspard.

Upon reaching Elder Gaspar, players ascend a suspended spiral staircase and select the feat they wish to unlock for their class. This decision is permanent for the character and cannot be changed later by the player. Unlocking a feat grants access to its passive tree, but players will need to allocate at least 20 passive points into their class’s main tree before investing points. Feat skills are immediately usable, but other skills require further investment in the passive tree. While the feat selection remains the same, players have the flexibility to reallocate passive points within the feat tree by interacting with relevant NPCs in town.

How to unlock Master Class in the previous era?

Reach Chapter 2 and defeat Elder Pannion:

• Begin your journey to unlock your class’s specialties in Chapter 2. Once you’ve defeated Elder Pannion and reached the End of Time (the main hub area), proceed to the next step.

Accept “The Power of the Master” quest:

• Find the Forgotten Knight at the End of Time and accept the quest titled “Power to Master”. Follow the quest instructions to proceed.

Talk to Elder Gaspar:

• Follow the quest instructions and talk to Elder Gaspar. Go up the suspended spiral staircase to the second level of the map. Gaspar will allow you to choose which specializations you want to unlock for your class.

Choose your specialty:

• Make a permanent choice for your character’s feats. This decision cannot be reversed unless you create a new character, so choose wisely.

Unlock the passive tree for mastery:

• Once you choose a specialization, you will have access to its passive tree. However, to start allocating points into this tree, invest at least 20 passive points into your class’s main tree.

Obtain passive points:

• Make sure you have about 19-20 passive points allocated by following the story and completing the optional side quests that reward passive points.

Unlock Mastery Skills:

• Use your Grandmaster Master Skills immediately after unlocking them. To unlock the rest of your Exclusive Skills, invest more Passive Points into the Master Level’s Passive Tree.

Re-specify options:

• While your feat selection is permanent, you can reassign the passive points allocated to your feat tree at any time. Speak to the relevant NPC in town to learn about this option.
