How do I complete the “Hungry Mermaid” quest in Skull & Bones?

To complete the mission effectively, follow these simplified steps. First, open your map and set a route to the Graveyard in Naga Shores. Once you arrive, scout the coastline and find the Overseas Smuggler located to the right. Speak to the Smuggler using the designated keys on your device and accept any available contracts, especially those related to the Hungry Mermaid.

Next, check the map again and head north to the capital of Osten. Buy 20 Nutmegs from the vendor in the capital of Osten to prepare for your journey. Once you arrive in the Lost City of Prey, examine the treasure map to reveal the exact location of the hidden Nutmegs.

Explore the depths of the city, pass through the ancient gates, and reach the designated hiding place. Finally, press the designated key to hide the nutmeg in the location specified on the treasure map, making sure to place it accurately and follow the instructions of the task.

Skull and Bones Gameplay

Skull & Bones’ gameplay lets you become a fierce pirate captain, unlike the way you manage individual ship functions in Sea of Thieves. In Skull & Bones, you control everything from navigation to combat and crew management, similar to the naval component of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, but with nine years of refinement.

There are three types of ships in Skull & Bones: Navigator, Fireship, and Freighter. Each ship has its own strengths and abilities. Navigator is the fastest ship for long distances, Freighter can carry the most loot or crafting items, and Fireship excels in combat.

You can customize all 12 available ships to suit your play style. You must also maintain the condition of your ship and the morale of your crew to avoid mutiny. If your ship sinks, you will respawn at the nearest pirate lair and will only be able to recover part of the cargo. You can retrieve the rest of the cargo, but be prepared to fight with other players.

Skull and Bones Map

The map area of Skull and Bones is huge, reaching 625 square kilometers, which is larger than Ubisoft’s previous game “Avatar: Pandora’s Frontier”, which has an area of 255 square kilometers. To help players explore this vast world, the map is divided into five main areas.

Red Island: This is the starting area for all players and is located in the center of the map. It is the smallest area and is similar to the island of Madagascar. It is a hub for east-west trade, with St. Anne being the local pirate den and Leesburg being the military base. The area has 3 major factions, 8 outposts, and 10 settlements.

African Coast: This western region is the largest and is similar to countries like Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, and Somalia. There are no pirate lairs here, but there are military bases like the Great Fort and Fort Bute. There are 2 major factions, 8 outposts, and 9 settlements here.

East Indies: Located in the eastern part of the map, this region is similar to places like Singapore, Malaysia, and Cambodia. This region contains the pirate den Telok Penjarah and several military bases such as Fort Duister and Megafort Oosten. This region has 2 factions, 11 outposts, and 8 settlements.

High Seas: This vast region consists mostly of high seas, connecting the coast of Africa to the islands of southern East Asia, similar to the Indian Ocean. It has no pirate lairs or settlements, but includes one faction and 6 useful outposts.

Other: The northern part of the map is currently unavailable, but may become accessible after the full game is released.

Next quest and rewards in Hungry Mermaid: Skull & Bones

The mission ends after delivering 20 Nutmegs collected in “The Lost City of Prey”. After completing the mission “Hungry Mermaid: Reparations”, Sam will receive a set of clothes and 1500 silver coins as a reward.

To proceed to the next mission, “The Marquis”, after “The Hungry Mermaid”, head southeast to “The Forgotten Candy”. The “Marquis” is a notorious bounty hunter who brings misery to the common people, and escaping or negotiating with them is impossible. Your mission is to eliminate the “Marquis” and end their reign of terror, and the rewards for doing so are great.
