The Twilight Saga is a series of romantic fantasy films based on Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight book series. These films have grossed an impressive total of over $3.4 billion at the global box office. The first installment in the saga, “Twilight,” premiered on November 21, 2008. Subsequently, the second film “New Moon” was released on November 20, 2009. The third film, Eclipse, premiered on June 30, 2010. Continuing the series, the fourth film, Breaking Dawn – Part 1, was released on November 18, 2011, while the fifth and final film The movie “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” was released on November 16, 2012.

The journey to bring the series to the big screen began in 2004 under Paramount Pictures’ MTV Films banner. During this period, the Twilight Saga script was adapted, which was very different from the original novel. Three years later, Summit Entertainment acquired the film rights. After “The Twilight Saga” grossed $35.7 million on its first day, Summit Entertainment announced its intention to continue producing “New Moon.” Meanwhile, they also acquired the rights to adapt the remaining novels in the series earlier that month.
