In ArcheAge, the Merchants Guild is a faction based in the Upper Market of Maj’Elka, providing players with an auction-style market system for buying and selling items. By joining the guild and rising through the ranks, players gain access to higher quality items and gain benefits through faction rank and opinion.
To join the Merchants Guild in the game, reach the Upper District of Maj’Elka in Chapter 9, either by completing the main story or using the Temporary Sanctuary Key. Zerrick will direct the player to the Guild’s base, the Bazaar, where faction leader Nama will handle membership matters.

Gaining faction rank and favor is essential to unlock the bazaar for item trading. Higher ranks allow for the purchase of more advanced items, while favor is used for listing and purchasing. Ranks are increased by defeating enemies, completing quests, and trading.
Faction ranks are shared across game modes (Standard, Traditional, Hardcore, Softcore), with the Merchant Guild offering a total of 10 ranks.

There are two main groups available at the start of Last Epoch, the Merchant Guild and the Ring of Fortune. Choosing to join one of these groups will affect how your character acquires and trades items later in the game.
It’s important to know that your character can only be part of one group at a time, and each group has special advantages. While you can switch between groups, it’s not the best idea.
Changing teams is just like changing a character’s skills. If you want to use the items of the Ring of Fortune, you need to have a high reputation with the Ring of Fortune. The same applies to the Guild items obtained through trading.

- Description: Unlocks the option to trade any item through Bazaar.

In-game, if you want to know how you are doing and what level you are in, check the Social section in the game menu. To get better rewards, you may need to complete specific tasks with specific groups in the game.
If you choose the Merchant Guild, you may miss out on the additional loot bonus of the Ring of Fortune group. So be careful when making your choice – think about what you value more in the game.

Developed by Eleventh Hour Games (EHG), Last Epoch is a hack-and-slash action RPG that began its journey as a free trial during its Kickstarter campaign in April 2018.
The beta was released via Steam Early Access in April 2019, with the full release subsequently rescheduled from April 2020 to Q4 2020. However, in October 2020, the Mac client was canceled due to anticipated challenges with Apple’s transition to ARM-based processors.
EHG then announced in December 2020 that the release would be pushed back to 2021. A multiplayer beta was launched in March 2023, and finally in October 2023, it was announced that the full game would be officially released on February 21, 2024. This timeline reflects the evolution of the game over the years and the adjustments made by the developers.
