Like a Dragon: Unlimited Wealth

Yakuza: Infinite Fortune is an upcoming role-playing video game developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. The game will be released on January 26, 2024, and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. As the ninth mainline work in the Yakuza series, it is a direct sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon (2020) and the spin-off Yakuza Gaiden: The Man Who Erase His Name (2023).

The storyline revolves around Ichiban Kasuga, the protagonist from Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Kazuma Kiryu, the protagonist from the original series. The game takes place in a familiar Japanese setting, with Hawaii as a new setting. Kasuga and Kiryu team up to help Kasuga find and reunite with her mother in Hawaii, while Kiryu battles cancer. The game blends old and new characters together, promising a gripping single-player RPG experience.

Like a Dragon: Unlimited Wealth Game

In “Yakuza: Infinite Fortune”, players will play as Kasuga Ichiho and Kiryu Kazuma, as well as their teammates, to explore Isezaki Ijincho in Yokohama and the city of Honolulu in Hawaii. The game follows the turn-based combat style of “Yakuza: Like a Dragon”. Each character, including Kiryu who has a special job “Dragon of Dojima”, can choose from a variety of “jobs” that provide unique abilities and play styles.

Kiryu’s class allows him to switch fighting styles and engage in real-time battles, reminiscent of previous Like a Dragon games. The Poundmates summoning system returns, featuring familiar characters like Shun Akiyama and Kaoru Sayama. In addition to classic games like karaoke and darts, the game introduces new mini-games, including Crazy Delivery, inspired by Sega’s Crazy Taxi, the Pokémon-like parody game Sujimon Battle, and a dating app designed for Kasuga called Miss Match.

A key side activity is Happy Resort Dondoko Island, where Kasuga manages his own resort, blending resource gathering, crafting, and social interaction. Kiryu’s side activity is Bucket List, which focuses on reuniting with friends from previous Like a Dragon games. The game promises a diverse and engaging gameplay experience, blending combat, mini-games, and side activities.
