Niantic and Capcom worked together to develop the game, and Niantic, the company behind Pokémon Go, made the game available for everyone to play.

There are lots of things to do, like gathering materials to craft armor and weapons. Even if you don’t play the game, the game will give you something that can help you later. - The order of equipment/materials has been adjusted to match the order in the Monster Guide.
- The names of item box expansions in the store have been changed for each price range. After purchasing all “Item Box Expansion 1” items, you can purchase “Item Box Expansion 2”.

Resolved issues

- Huntathon: Adding a fifth monster to the home screen with only seconds left on the time limit may soft-lock the app. (Updated on January 9, replacing redundant text)

- The hunter’s poisoned status may not be canceled by being knocked down by the hunter.

Monster Hunter now updates with V68.1 improvements
The latest update for Monster Hunter Now is called V68.1, and it brings some neat improvements that make the game even better. One cool thing they do is make it easier to find other things near your hunting marathon point. They shrink the area you can click on so you can more easily access nearby things. Additionally, they change the appearance of the points so you can tell if you’re close enough to use them.
They also fixed some other issues to make the game smoother. Your gear and materials now appear in the same order as the Monster Guide, making it easier to find what you need. In the store you buy items from, they change the names of the items and make your item box larger, so you’re more aware of which item you’re buying. Your camera now stays at the last zoom position you set, meaning you don’t have to adjust it every time you start a game. When you start a hunt, your hunter will always start a certain distance away from the big monster.
Monster Hunter gameplay now
In Monster Hunter Now, you can place your character on a map using real-life locations, which is divided into different areas such as forests, swamps, and deserts. You can click on small monsters and big monsters on the map to start fighting them, but the battle with big monsters will only last 75 seconds. Unlike the longer battles in other Monster Hunter games, smaller monsters only take a few seconds to defeat. You can also collect resources on the map to craft armor and weapons. You can buy some items to get your character further in the game, and even if you’re not playing the game, the game will give you some resources and mark big monsters for you to fight later.

monster hunter now in development
Work on Monster Hunter Now began in 2019, when Niantic opened an office in Tokyo. They talked to Capcom, the developer of Monster Hunter, about using Capcom characters and content in their game. Capcom was excited about bringing Monster Hunter to mobile, so they quickly agreed. Niantic bosses mentioned that because our phones have gotten better since Pokémon Go was developed, they could make this new game with faster combat and more people playing together.
Everyone discovered Monster Hunter Now on April 18, 2023, and a small group of people tested it in a closed beta that started a week later. The game isn’t immediately available to everyone, though. First, it will be available for some people to try out in advance on August 9, 2023, and then on September 14 of the same year, everyone will be able to play.
