MW3 Season 2 Battle Pass not working

Many players who downloaded the Season 2 update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone are experiencing issues with the Season 2 Battle Pass. The problem is that some players are still seeing old rewards for the Season 1 Battle Pass instead of the new ones, despite it being scheduled for release on February 7, 2024. This is frustrating as it prevents them from getting the latest rewards, including new operators, weapons, and skins.

Even more frustrating, some players are experiencing the game crashing or freezing when trying to purchase the Battle Pass. It appears that an error occurred during the update process, causing these issues. While this appears to be a server-side issue, players are advised to verify their game files just in case, even though there may be nothing they can do.

The good news is that developer Activision is aware of the issue. They have acknowledged the issue on their official Twitter account and said they are investigating and working on a solution. While waiting for an official fix, players are advised to stay updated by checking Activision’s social media accounts. Patience is key as the developer is actively working on resolving the issue and will provide updates as soon as possible.

How to fix MW3 Season 2 Battle Pass not working?

The main solution is to keep an eye on any new updates related to the game. Installing these updates promptly is essential to fixing Battle Pass issues.

Restart the game

One possible fix is to restart the game, which for some users triggered the update. After downloading the patch, they were finally able to interact with the Season 2 Battle Pass purchase button. This action proved effective in removing the “Get Data” screen issue that previously blocked access to the main menu.

Alternative method: Repeat purchase attempts

In some cases, players have reported that by repeatedly pressing the buy button until the load is complete, they have been able to do the trick. While this method may not seem conventional, it does work for some users and can serve as a workaround for the Battle Pass not working bug.

Be cautious about taking drastic measures

While uninstalling the game files may be an extreme measure, it is recommended to proceed with caution and consider it as a last resort. Patience is generally recommended, and it is suggested that waiting for an official update or fix from the developer may be a more prudent approach.

New Login Notes

For players who are not logged in, you may experience an error when selecting the “Buy Battle Pass” button. This means that you will not be able to claim new Blueprints, Operator Skins, or COD Points until the issue is resolved.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games and Activision, which was fully released on November 10, 2023. It is the twentieth installment in the Call of Duty series and the third chapter in the revamped Modern Warfare series.

Continuing from the story of 2022’s Modern Warfare II, the game’s storyline revolves around the multinational special operations force Task Force 141 as they hunt down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist who plans to start World War III.

Available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, the game retains the realistic modern setting of its predecessor. In addition to an engrossing single-player campaign, Modern Warfare III introduces a multiplayer mode featuring maps remastered from 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and a Zombies mode, a first for the Modern Warfare series.

Sledgehammer Games originally planned to develop an expansion pack for Modern Warfare II, but as the project progressed, Activision decided to turn it into a standalone title in the Call of Duty series. Sledgehammer Games carefully designed the game’s mechanics and graphics using version 9.0 of the IW engine.

It is worth noting that Treyarch, known for the Call of Duty: Black Ops series, was involved in the development of the Zombies mode. After leaks in early to mid-2023, the game was officially unveiled in August 2023, with a showcase event and public beta in October. Although some platforms classify it as a DLC expansion for Modern Warfare II, it does not have a platinum trophy on PlayStation 5.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 gameplay

Modern Warfare III plays very similarly to its predecessor and other Call of Duty games. It brings back features like swipe cancel. The campaign offers linear missions and “Open Combat Missions” that give players more freedom when tackling objectives. In multiplayer, all 16 maps from Modern Warfare 2 will be available at launch.

Players can vote in the lobby to select maps that give players more health and longer kill times. The “Red Dot” minimap returns, where players can shoot without a silencer and spot enemies on the radar. The classic modes “Kill Confirmed” and “Hardpoint” return, along with a new mode called “Severed Throat.” Ground War and War Mode are also returning.

The game will also feature a new open-world PvE Zombies mode. Developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, the mode is different from the old turn-based survival games. Up to 24 players will team up on a large map called Urzikstan. They will fight against zombies and AI-controlled enemies, complete objectives, collect loot and extract items.

Maps are no longer divided into rounds, but into “zones” with varying difficulty levels. After 45 minutes, “Aetherstorm” begins, and players have 15 minutes to leave with the loot. This can be carried over to the next match. It includes familiar elements such as weapon purchases, special drinks, and mystery boxes. Story missions will also be part of the mode, driving the narrative.
