Not Dead Yet Season 2 Episode 2 Ending Explained
In the second episode of Not Dead Yet, “Not Yet Lovers,” the character Cricket offers Nell some valuable advice. Cricket suggests that Nell should focus more on herself and stop making excuses that might be holding her back from making positive changes in her life.
Nell took this advice to heart and decided to confront Andres, an artist she knew. The ghost of Andres’ mother kept urging Nell to convince him to give up painting, revealing that people bought his paintings just to see her. Although Nell initially disliked the ghost’s approach, she eventually understood what it meant.
When Andrés attempts to paint her portrait, Nell bravely tells him the truth about his art. Andrés, already aware of his own shortcomings, admits that he continues to paint in order to fulfill his mother’s wishes.
As Nell leans in for a kiss, the ghost of Andres’ mother intervenes, asking Nell to tuck Andres’ hair behind his ears. This moment makes Andres realize that he is using Nell to distract from his sorrow. Nell understands, and the ghost once again prevents her from getting involved in another relationship that could be a distraction.
