Pacific Drive Quirks, How to Fix Quirks in Pacific Drive?

Pacific Avenue Oddities

In Pacific Drive, your car may exhibit weird behaviors, such as the hood opening unexpectedly or the radio switching stations when you turn a corner. To fix these weird behaviors, you can use the repair station located near the car repair shop parking lot. The repair station interface is simple, with four columns representing car parts and actions.

You fill in the blanks to determine the cause and effect of the quirk, such as “When the shifter is shifted to Park, the left front door opens.” Experiments help diagnose the quirk, and you have eight guesses to guess correctly at the repair station. If you run out of guesses, the count resets when you return to the auto repair shop through the Gateway.

Some Quirks may be subtle and hard to detect, affecting parts you don’t often notice. You can leave subtle Quirks on for a while without penalty, though Oppy may make sarcastic comments over the radio. For those challenging Quirks, you can upgrade your Tinkering Station with an Investigation Module, allowing you to see which of your guesses were correct. Using the Stability Energy gained from Stability Anchors, you can investigate specific car parts to help narrow down the Quirk.

How to fix the quirks on Pacific Avenue?

If you have a problem on your Pacific Drive, you can use Tinker Station to fix it, but it may not be easy at first. The challenge is that there are so many options to choose from, and when a problem arises, such as a headlight going out or the wipers unexpectedly starting, it can be hard to remember exactly what happened. Especially when you have multiple problems at once, it can be hard to distinguish the cause of each one.

It’s a good idea to stop and write down relevant things while driving, as it may be difficult to recall them after returning to the garage. Initially, the tinkering station only shows how many guesses were correct, which may not be very useful. However, the garage’s crafting station has two important upgrades that can greatly help deal with quirks. The investigation module marks correct guesses, making it clear which ones are correct and which ones need to be changed.

On the other hand, the Analysis Module allows you to spend Anchor Energy to “partially diagnose” a Quirk, highlighting the potentially problematic part. If a Quirk is causing major problems, it is recommended to get these Investigation and Analysis Modules early on. While some guesswork is still required, these upgrades reduce the options, narrow down the cause more quickly, and provide useful feedback on your guesses.

Pacific Avenue

Pacific Avenue is a 2024 survival game from Ironwood Studios and Kepler Interactive. It takes place in the picturesque Pacific Northwest. Players can travel through this picturesque land on foot or in a wagon to escape. The game uses a first-person perspective and metal monsters will rush to grab the player’s vehicle, bringing challenges to the player.

Beyond survival, the wagon is a customizable asset that provides repair options and personalization in the player’s garage. Development on Pacific Road began in 2019, when creative director Alexander Dracott conceived the game while driving across the Olympic Peninsula.

Pacific Road was released on PlayStation 5 and Windows on February 22, 2024, and received critical acclaim for its immersive atmosphere, well-crafted characters, and detailed vehicle design. Despite the praise, the game was criticized for being repetitive and challenging, making the player’s journey of survival both fun and difficult.

Pacific Avenue Gameplay

In Pacific Roads, players will embark on a survival adventure set in the 1998 Olympic-restricted Pacific Northwest. The game unfolds from a first-person perspective, and players will traverse the land on foot or in a station wagon.

A unique feature of the game is that players can customize their vehicles in the garage, which serves as the game’s central base of operations. Vehicle diagnostics are managed through a headset, allowing players to troubleshoot issues such as unusual vehicle behavior (such as the horn unexpectedly sounding when turning the steering wheel). Repairs in the game range from immediate repairs such as changing a flat tire and using a blowtorch to more complex tasks handled in the garage.

The Invention Station in the garage becomes a key resource to collect materials and build machines to open new routes, refuel cars, and destroy areas. Facing challenges such as metal monsters grabbing cars and weather factors affecting vehicle handling, players must develop repair strategies and navigate electrical anomalies and obstacles.

The journey isn’t just about survival; players can discover crafting recipes, blueprints, and interact with non-player characters to escape the Olympic Exclusion Zone, while collecting energy cores in each level to unlock gates and return to the garage, triggering a shift in the game’s dynamics with increased hostility and an impending storm.
