Pixies extend tour in 2024

Pixies
The Pixies are an influential American alternative rock band formed in 1985 in Boston, Massachusetts. Band members include Black Francis (aka Frank Black), Joey Santiago, Kim Deal and David Lovering. Known for their unique sound that blends elements of punk, surf rock, and pop, the Pixies quickly gained attention in the music industry.
One of the Pixies’ breakthrough moments was their 1988 album Surfer Rosa, released on British independent label 4AD. The band’s third album “Doolittle”, released in 1989, became their most successful work and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America in 1995. Marked by Black Francis’ unique vocals and surreal lyrics, the Pixies’ unique style has influenced many bands in the alternative and indie rock genres. Despite a hiatus in the early ’90s and disbanding in 1993, the Pixies reunited in 2004 and continue to create music that resonates with old fans and new audiences alike.
