Priscilla Presley’s early life

Birth and Family Background:

Priscilla Ann Wagner was born on May 24, 1945, at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

Her maternal grandfather, Albert Henry Iversen, was born in Egersund, Norway, and emigrated to the United States. Her maternal grandmother, Lorraine Davis, was of Scots-Irish and English descent.

Priscilla’s biological father was James Frederick Wagner, a U.S. Navy pilot who married Priscilla’s mother, Ann, on August 10, 1944. James Wagner died in a plane crash on November 3, 1945.

Stepfather and Family Life:

In 1948, Ann married Paul Beaulieu, a U.S. Air Force officer from Quebec, Canada.

On April 17, 1950, Priscilla’s last name was legally changed from Wagner to Beaulieu.

The family, including half-siblings Donald, Michelle, Jeffrey, and twins Thomas and Timothy Beaulieu, moved frequently due to Paul Beaulieu’s Air Force career.

Priscilla described herself as a shy girl during this time and used to move every two or three years.

Relocation and emotional impact:

Paul Beaulieu’s military assignments moved the family from Connecticut to New Mexico and then to Maine.

Priscilla was uneasy about the frequent moves, unsure if she could build lasting friendships or adapt to each new place.

Settled in Del Valle, Texas and moved to West Germany:

In 1956, the family settled in Del Valley, Texas.

Shortly thereafter, Paul Beaulieu was transferred to Wiesbaden, West Germany, which upset Priscilla because this happened after she graduated from junior high school and disrupted her connections and friendships.
