In Skull & Bones, the Lost City of Prey is an important location in the game world, located in the upper right corner of the map. Players who have reached the highest level cap and accumulated a large amount of Infamy can search there for valuable upgrades. These upgrades include the coveted “Fortress II” hull blueprint, sold by overseas smugglers.

Back in 2017, Skull & Bones was billed as a tactical action game set in a vast open world, with a third-person perspective. In this immersive experience, players take control of a fully customizable pirate ship, and can choose to sail through the Indian Ocean alone in a gripping single-player campaign, or team up with up to five other players for intense player-versus-player combat in disputed waters.

Strategic elements such as wind direction positioning are essential to gaining an advantage in battle. Throughout the game, players have the opportunity to acquire additional ships, from sloops to frigates and brigs, each equipped with a variety of weapons including mortars, broadsides, and rockets. Ships can be rammed and boarded, with damage inflicted measured by the ship’s health.

The multiplayer mode Treasure Hunt pits two teams of players against each other in exciting treasure hunt challenges to amass wealth. Additionally, players can take advantage of an expandable lookout tower for lookouts, while telescopes aid in navigation and scouting.
