Helmets is a progression system in Skull & Bones that allows players to build their own pirate empire through a secret smuggling network. The system consists of three basic functions: Supply Network, Distillery, and Order Registry. To start the process, players need to use the Supply Network to find reliable contacts who can provide stolen materials at a good price.

Engaging with this contact allows the player to obtain raw helmet materials, laying the foundation for a pirate adventure. The next step for the player is to go to the distillery, where the raw materials are transformed into helmet products. The first supply chain involves obtaining sugar cane, which is then processed into the coveted White Skull Rum at the player’s distillery.

After receiving the helmet item, the player goes to the order registry to find potential buyers. By browsing this registry, the player can find a buyer and sail to the designated location to sell the helmet item. A successful transaction can not only bring profits, but also increase the player’s notoriety.

Players should be aware that fast travel is not possible from the order register. Manual navigation is required to sail the goods to the buyer’s location. In addition, the high seas also pose a threat, as rogue pirates may attack, trying to sink the player’s ship and seize the precious cargo.
