The open-world design allows for single-player or cooperative play, allowing players to freely explore Metropolis. The game was originally scheduled for release in 2022, but was later delayed and is currently scheduled for release on February 2, 2024. The Deluxe Edition was released early on January 29, 2024, which includes Kevin Conroy’s final performance as Batman.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Early Access

Rocksteady Studios’ Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Early Access launch suffered a setback due to a bug that automatically marked players’ games as completed. The glitch affected user profiles and forced the studio to take the game’s servers offline within an hour of launch.

Why was the Early Access version discontinued?

Players who opted for the Deluxe Edition (which offers 72 hours of early access) encountered an error when logging in. The error prematurely marked all save files as fully completed, prompting Rocksteady Studios to shut down the servers for maintenance to resolve the issue.

Developer response and fixes

Rocksteady Studios acknowledged the bug and assured players that they are working on a fix. The studio has identified the issue affecting player profiles and is currently testing a solution. Once the fix is completed, the game servers are expected to be back online, but the exact timeline is still uncertain.

Offline mode issues

Adding to the frustration is the lack of an offline mode for Suicide Squad, which is planned to be available after the game’s release, but there is currently no set release date for this feature.

Coming soon

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is scheduled to be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam on February 2.

Is Suicide Squad off the air?

For players looking forward to early access to the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Deluxe Edition ($99.99 USD), disappointment has arrived. The 72-hour Early Access, which was scheduled to begin on January 30, started with a major bug. Users in Australia and New Zealand, who had access to the game before other users, found that their save files were incorrectly marked as completed when they logged into the server. In response, Rocksteady Studios immediately shut down the servers for maintenance to resolve the issue, but the extent of the impact on other Early Access players is uncertain. This incident is related to previous issues, including the absence of press review codes. The full version of the game is still scheduled to be released on February 2.
