As a spin-off of the Batman: Arkham series, it is the sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight (2015). The game is scheduled to be released on February 2, 2024, and the deluxe version players can get it in advance on January 29, 2024. The game is designed for PlayStation 5, Windows and Xbox Series X/S platforms.

In single-player mode, players can switch between characters at will, with the remaining characters controlled by the game’s AI. Each character possesses two weapon classes, some of which may overlap between characters. In addition, they each display a unique melee style and unique movement patterns. For example, Harley Quinn wields a baseball bat and uses Batman’s iconic grappling gun to move around.
