Teardown: How to disable alerts?
In Teardown, you can’t turn off the alarm like you can in other games. Usually, in stealth games, there is a way to stop the alarm by pressing a button or using a special gadget. But in Demolition, the goal is to carve a path between targets using things like moving vehicles or breaking through walls.

Spray paint can help you plan your route. When you reach the first target, an alarm will sound and you must move quickly to the remaining targets. This is a critical part of the game and the developers have not provided a way to avoid or disable the alert box.

Even if you try to damage the part of the vehicle where the alarm wire is, it won’t work. There used to be a trick where you could destroy the section and drive away, but the game has been updated so that destroying the wires now sets off an alarm.
Turning the power off doesn’t help either. Some levels have electrical equipment like power towers and wires, but they’re mostly just for aesthetics. In real life, many sirens have battery backup. So even if you drive away in your car with the siren on, the countdown will continue.
Is it possible to disable the disassembly alarm box using a mod?
Yes, you can disable Teardown’s alert box using mods. These mods are available on PC and can be downloaded from NexusMods (you’ll need to create an account to get them).
There are two main mods you may want to check out:
- Spawnable Alarm Devices: With this mod you can control all alarm boxes. You can generate them, disable them, and more. However, using this mod may feel like cheating.
- Alternate Alarm Trigger: This mode makes it easier to disarm surrounding alarms without triggering them.
There is also a third mod called “Extend Alarm Timer” which allows you to adjust the amount of time you have to escape after triggering the alarm. You can even set the time to “infinite time,” which is pretty close to actually disabling the alert box. However, keep in mind that the standard game does not allow you to disable alert boxes. You can only do this by using mods on PC.

Teardown is a cool game made in 2022 by a company called Tuxedo Labs. In the game, you play the role of the owner of a demolition company that is not doing well. Things can get tricky when you’re caught doing a somewhat questionable job. Now you’re caught between helping the police and taking on more, less clear-cut missions.
The game is like a puzzle where you break things in levels made of destructible blocks. You have plenty of time to prepare and have access to tools, cars, and explosives to help you complete your mission quickly. Once the alarm sounds, you must complete all tasks and leave within sixty seconds.
The game’s creator, Dennis Gustafsson, built a special game engine for it and shared updates on Twitter, making the game popular even before it came out. People love Teardown because of the cool physics, the way you interact with everything, the good graphics, the art style, and the music.
Some people don’t like the story and the way the game progresses, but many like that you can add mods to keep it fun. A lot of people bought the game, and it did so well that another company called Saber Interactive acquired Tuxedo Labs. Now, you can also play Teardown on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Teardown the game
In Teardown, the game is like a big puzzle and you can break everything! You play from a first-person perspective and move through nine levels made of smashable blocks. The blocks are made of different textures, so you may need stronger tools to break some of them.

In the beginning, you have a sledgehammer, a fire extinguisher, and a spray can to mark things. As you play the game, you’ll unlock more tools like blowtorches, shotguns, bombs, and even rocket launchers. You can upgrade these tools using the funds you collect.
Cool vehicles like trucks, cranes, and boats help you move around and cause more destruction. Each mission has tasks and you may need to steal or destroy something related to the alarm. Once the alarm sounds, you have only sixty seconds to complete the mission and board the getaway vehicle, or the helicopter will capture you.
There are different mission types such as demolishing buildings, dodging helicopters or sneaking past security robots. You can also create your own levels in Creative Mode and try out challenges like destroying large numbers of blocks quickly or collecting items while being chased. The game has different modes that make the game easier or harder, and you can play the game in sandbox mode without missions. The joy is endless.
