Total Recall Plot
In Total Recall, Douglas Quaid, a construction worker on Earth, becomes fascinated with Mars after having recurring dreams about the planet and a mysterious woman. Seeking adventure, he visits Rekall, a company that implants false memories, and chooses a fantasy in which he is a secret agent on Mars. However, during the procedure, Quaid believes his memories have been suppressed, which leads to a series of violent conflicts that indicate his past may not be what it seems.
As Quaid’s journey unfolds, he discovers that his true identity is Hauser, a former ally of the Martian tyrant Velos Cohaagen. Hauser’s memory was wiped and he was implanted with false memories to infiltrate the rebellion against Cohaagen as Quaid. With the help of allies such as Melina, Quaid traverses the dangerous terrain of Mars, evades Cohaagen’s army, and discovers the secrets of his past.
