Jose Marie Borja Viceral, better known by his stage name Vice Ganda, is a Filipino comedian, actor, host, singer and television personality born on March 31, 1976.
Vice Ganda, considered one of the most successful entertainers in Philippine show business, is best known for his stand-up comedy, a clever blend of observational comedy, situational irony and sarcasm that often touches on Filipino culture and human sexuality.
A regular on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show “It’s Showtime,” he also has a presence in the Philippine film industry, starring in four of the top ten highest-grossing films.
Vice Ganda’s road to stardom began as a singer and stand-up comedian at venues such as Punchline and The Library in Manila. He gradually gained recognition through supporting and cameo roles in various television shows and films.
However, it was his participation in the talent show It’s Showtime in 2009 that catapulted him to fame. He rose to fame with his starring role in the 2010 remake of the film Petrang Kabayo, and in the same year, he held his first major concert, May Nag-Text. ‘Yung Totoo! Vice Ganda sa Araneta.
