Wayfinder August 30th Patch Notes
We’re excited to announce our first big patch, which includes some major stability fixes, including preventing server crashes when fighting Claws of Pyre and preventing “problems saving user data” in most cases.

This patch requires a client update and we are targeting it to go live tomorrow.

It’s important to note that this patch won’t have a ton of tweaks or bugs that you might have encountered in Early Access, as it’s locked before we go live, meaning the next patch will directly address some of the Early Access feedback.
Battle+Game
- In Highland, the cooldown for the Night’s Maw event has been significantly reduced from 2 hours to every 60 seconds.
- Fighting the Firewood Claws in the Highlands no longer crashes the server.
- Repeating rifles now automatically start firing after reloading.
- Fleas will no longer continue to spawn during Highland’s area of effect events.
- The “Arcane Accumulation” mastery will correctly increase damage based on momentum for all Executioner melee weapon types.
- The Arcane Accumulation mastery level 3 will handle arcane energy bursts as expected for all Executioner melee weapon types.
- “Sniper” rifle mastery correctly increases damage at long range.
- Knockback now respects the dodge invincibility frame.
- Echo rarity type text in the Echo menu now matches its correct rarity.

- Nice’s “Lingering Shadow” buff icon will correctly refresh in the player HUD after stacking 3 times while active.
Kairos
- Level 3 of Kyros’ Arcane Focus will now deal the expected additional damage.
venom
- Venom thrusters now activate instantly and move slightly faster.
- When using the Venom Thruster without movement input, you will no longer move sideways instead of backwards.
- Using the Venom Thruster while ADS or blocking will no longer cause the player to move to the side.
Task
- Players will no longer get kicked while collecting loot in the “Light the Fire” quest dungeon instance.
- Removed the duplicate “Path of Destruction” quest name for Deepwood Holt Explorer Avala.
- Fixed a bug where side mission XP was unintentionally scaling with the difficulty range.
- The “Hidden Knowledge” side quest can now be completed in any Lost Sector of Aurelia, and also counts any variant of the Decoder event.
lost area
- Known behavior that kicked players in a “problem saving user data” manner has been resolved.
- Alternate characters will now appear on the Pathfinder model on the Expedition Rewards screen.
- The Lost Sector’s Darkside Ambush event will now reward players with Darkstone Shards upon completion.
- Reduced the number of enemies spawned during digging units in pits, supply raids, supply runs, chain gangs, and underground events.
- Enemies at the end of a Lost Sector adventure will no longer spawn out of bounds and prevent the player from completing the adventure.
- Party invitations can no longer be sent to any online player in the Lost Sector instance.
- New musical variations added to Deep Sea (Mine Adventure).
hunting
- Rifles can no longer transfer orbs to Husk enemies by shooting during Dread Legion hunts.
- The number of enemies spawned in each phase of the Dread Legion hunt is reduced.
- Bombs now explode faster when passed to enemies during Dread Legion hunts.
- Players can no longer get stuck between hologram tiles and die while on a Dread Legion hunt.
- Hands can now be seen rejoining the ground slam attack range warning indicator during Silver Hand hunting.
- Fixed an issue where some hunts were awarding unexpected loot upon completion.
housing
- Reduced the amount of resources required to craft house item recipes.
- Players are temporarily unable to switch equipped pathfinders or weapons while in the apartment.
- The “Trickster Artifice” artifact now has a cooldown timer and can only be interacted with by the player who owns the apartment.
localization
- Fixed several miscellaneous text issues throughout the game.
- Translated narration has been added to numerous missions and cutscenes.
Miscellaneous.
- The “Magic Tower Compass” item reward from the Exalted Founder’s Pack will now appear in the player’s “Key Items” inventory.
- 5% Bonus Tower XP earned through the “Magic Tower Compass” item.
- Purchased Founder’s Packs will visually appear as “Owned” in the store menu.
- Players can immediately equip a newly acquired pathfinder or weapon from the Founder’s Pack without having to move first.
- Several Echo icons are now missing
- Camera collision improvements added throughout the game.
Known issues
- Players will not be rewarded with Assistant Coins after completing adventures in the Codex Hall, Pit, and Misty Forest. Players in all other zones and hunts will be rewarded with Assistant Coins.
- Debug text is visible in the “Duplicate Binding” popup in the Settings menu
- Some weapons have inconsistent naming across multiple menus.
- The Survivalist “Crit Power” mastery does not increase critical chance based on the momentum the player generates.
- The application of cost reduction for the same type of Echo is inconsistent.
- Tracked missions may not appear in the player’s HUD and may impede mission progress.
- The visual effects of Hero Kairos’s “Arcane Focus” ability can stay on enemies and grow in size.

- Players cannot sell accessories to Venge
- Improved camera behavior, especially in small and confined spaces
- Pathfinding ability fires in wrong direction
- Solve the feedback problem using a single injected mutator
