Talk to Mildred and she will mention that she needs a Gear Part. Get the Converter Chip to craft it.
Unlock the three Fountains of Life and find the ruins where the chip is hidden.

Mildred expresses the need for a drop of Quetzalcoatl Water. Unlock the four Grassland Fountains to find it.

You play as mercenary Claude Strife and his friends from an organization called AVALANCHE. The protagonist is Claude Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit who now works as a mercenary for the eco-terrorist organization AVALANCHE. Joining him are the group’s courageous leader, Barrett Wallace, and Claude’s childhood friend and martial arts master Tifa Lockhart.
Other important characters include Aerith Gainsborough, the last surviving member of ancient Cetra, Red XIII, an intelligent creature captured by Shinra, and Yuffie Kisaragi, a genius thief and ninja. Players will also meet characters such as Aerith’s ex-boyfriend Zack Fair and Vincent Valentine, a former Shinra Turk who was experimented on by the company.
The story is further enriched by supporting characters, such as Cait Sith, controlled by Shinra’s Reeve Tuesti, and Cid Highwind, a determined pilot with a passion for space exploration. These characters, along with new characters like Bugenhagen and Elena, add depth to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s compelling story.
