- Cam McCormick’s parents are Corey McCormick and Debra McCormick.
- His father, Corey, is a former college baseball player at the University of Arizona. Cam’s parents met in Arizona, but they divorced two years after Cam was born.
- When Cam was five, his mother, Debra, battled melanoma, initially diagnosed as stage four.
- Cam and his mother moved to Pennsylvania from the Phoenix metro area in 2006, shortly before starting second grade, two years after his parents divorced.
- In 2012, Cam and his mother returned to the American West and settled in Bend, Oregon.
- Cam McCormick began attending Summit High School in Bend in 2012, where he played football. As a senior, he suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in September and underwent knee surgery on September 15 of the same year.
- Despite the injury, McCormick played a limited role in the team’s state title run, only playing when the victory was shaping up.
- In the spring of 2016, McCormick was admitted to the University of Oregon and left high school early to enter college.
- A three-star recruit, McCormick committed to the University of Oregon in February 2015 and was recognized as the No. 2 football prospect in the state of Oregon following the 2015 high school football season.
