Kevin Patrick Hayes, born May 8, 1992, is an American professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). Hailing from Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, Hayes began his lacrosse journey at Noble and Greenough schools.
He entered the NHL scene when the Chicago Blackhawks selected him with the 24th overall pick in the 2010 NHL Draft. Hayes chose to postpone his career and took the college route, playing four seasons with the Boston College Eagles.
His outstanding performance as a senior earned him a number of noteworthy honors, including selection to the All-Hockey East First Team and AHCA All-Hockey East First Team.
