Will the Last Epoch be cleared when the 1.0 update is released?

After the official release of Last Epoch on February 21, existing online characters will be transferred to the “Legacy” realm, starting a new season, and all players will start over in a new economic environment. Similar to other live service ARPGs such as Diablo 4 and Path of Exile, Last Epoch’s content updates will follow a cycle, introducing new mechanics every 3 to 4 months.

Your characters will still be accessible, but they will be relocated to the old realm each cycle and will not be able to share stashes or trade items with new cycle participants. Offline characters will remain on your computer, however, allowing you to continue playing the game after release.

While character progression will not be removed, players are encouraged to participate in the new cycle and its new economy after the release of version 1.0. This shift ensures a continuous gaming experience while embracing the new content and mechanics introduced in the Last Epoch update.
