“Accel World” is a Japanese light novel series written by Rei Kawahara and illustrated by HiMA. The series premiered in February 2009 under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint and has been licensed in North America by Yen Press. The story is set in the virtual reality future of 2046, blending adventure and science fantasy. The story tells the story of Haruyuki, a bullied boy who escapes reality through virtual games and becomes involved in a secret plan called Brain Burst. The program enables users to speed up their brainwaves, essentially freeze time, and engage in virtual battles to earn points.

The light novel series has been a huge success, with 26 volumes published to date. The series also has expanded reach by being available in English via Viz Media’s Neon Alley service. Will there be a second season of Accel World?
As of now, the production of Accel World Season 2 has not been officially confirmed. The first season ended in 2012 to a positive response, and fans have been eager to continue the animated series. His skilled gaming skills caught the attention of Kuroyukihime, the school’s popular and intelligent student council vice-president.

After Kuroyukihime helps Haru fight the bullies, she introduces him to Brain Burst, a secret program that accelerates the human mind to the point of visibly suspending time. Haru discovers that Brain Burst is not just a program, but an augmented reality massively multiplayer online (ARMMO) fighting game. In this game, individuals compete in intense duels to gain burst points that can be used to gain accelerated abilities in the real world.
Kuroyukihime, with Haru’s help, reaches level 10 by defeating the powerful “Six Kings of Pure Color” in Brain Burst and eventually meeting the game’s creator, revealing its true purpose. As the virtual characters “Silver Crow” and “Black Lotus”, Haru and Kuroyukihime face challenges in the accelerated world. Along the way, they gather allies, fight rivals, and strengthen bonds while working towards their ultimate goal: reaching the highest level in the game and discovering the intentions of the creators behind the game and their true purpose.
