Wolong: Fallen Dynasty gameplay
Wolong: Fallen Reign is a game where you create your own characters and choose their appearance. There are many ways to fight in the game, such as close range attacks. You have to be smart when fighting, use your weapons to block enemy attacks and find opportunities to counterattack them. Each enemy you face has a level that shows how difficult the fight will be. The tougher the enemy, the better things you get after winning.
In combat, when you fight at close range, a special meter fills up. When it’s full, you can perform a special attack or use a cool magical power called a “psychic attack.” Additionally, you can choose from five powerful creatures known as “divine beasts” to aid you in battle or give you special boosts. The game’s journey is mostly straight, but as you continue forward you’ll find flags scattered throughout the world.
These tokens allow you to save your progress and help you get stronger by spending “chi” (similar to experience points). Unlike some similar games, Crouching Dragon lets you jump around, making it easier to explore and fight in different ways. One of the exciting things is that you can play with friends. They can join your game and help you in battle, making the adventure more fun and cooperative.

Wolong: The Development of a Declined Dynasty
Work on Wolong: The Lost Dynasty began in October 2021, with Team Ninja announcing a new action game at a special event commemorating the career of Koei Tecmo President Akira Shibusawa. The game is inspired by a famous historical novel “The Romance of the Three Kingdoms” written by Luo Guanzhong in the 14th century. The big news came in June 2022 at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 event, where they launched the game for Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and later added it for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 version.
The “Wolong: Fallen Dynasty” team has been working hard for about two years before it was officially launched globally. The team is led by Team Ninja head Fumihiko Yasuda, known for directing games like Nioh since 2017 and its 2020 follow-up. Another key figure, Masaaki Yamagiwa, joined Team Ninja in 2021 after working on games such as “Tokyo”, “Jungle” and “Bloodborne” and left Sony Japan Studio. The game, much like Nioh, blends real historical events with mythological and supernatural elements from folklore.
In October 2022, exciting news came that the game will be released on March 3, 2023. This marks an important moment in the game’s development, and has plenty to look forward to for fans eager to enter a world shaped by history and legend.
