“1.0c” Patch Notes
- Note that the actual version numbers on Switch are v1.03 and v1.04/1.05 on PlayStation. Both versions are based on v1.0c for PC, so that’s why you’ll see “1.0c” in the upper right corner of the screen, and why we’ll call it the “1.0c” patch.
- Implemented multiple fixes for correct operation of game save data handling. The player’s experiences while playing Horror World should now generally be properly logged, and the player’s progress should be properly reflected through lists of achievements, event codexes, enemy beasts, ending encyclopedias, and arcane monographs
- The “Save and Exit” and “Exit to Menu” functions have now been fixed and will no longer delete player progress data
- PS4 only: Accessing the options menu will no longer cause the player’s progress data to be deleted (as of v1.05)
- Fixed an issue where the intro scene at the start of each game was shortened after pressing the button to continue
- Improved frame rate on Nintendo Switch. (Some players may find this subjective. Also, please note that if you turn on the wave effect in the options menu, the game’s frame rate will still be affected whenever the wave effect appears.)
- Fixed an issue where using the “Save and Exit” function could delete entries E001 to E080 of event CODEX.
- Fixed an issue where only one ending was unlocked starting from the bottom row (Unbelievable Sadness)
- When “Save and Exit” is used in the player’s apartment, “ENEMY BESTIARY” and “EVENTS CODEX” are expected to be updated accordingly with new entries after exiting the game using this function.
- Fixed an issue where events that the player had not encountered before would sometimes be logged and saved in the event code.

- Fixed an issue where the “SAY HELLO” in-game achievement could not be triggered
- Fixed an issue in the game where the final achievement “DUDE” could be activated, recorded and saved before the triggering requirements were met
Known issues:
- “Wrong book!” The challenge may crash when ascending the lighthouse, and players may currently be unable to reach the end.
- Even if a player encounters Event E050 “Lighthouse Rumors” in any given game, it still may not be logged in the event code. This does not appear to be related to previous issues that resulted in achievement/event/enemy/ending data being deleted and/or unrecorded.
- Use spells or items to attack in combat with multiple enemies, for example.Unusual attendants and body caretakers, which may result in [A<>B] The button malfunctions, making the second enemy untargetable.

horror world development
World of Horror was pieced together by Paweł Koźmiński (aka Panstasz), who developed the game on the side while juggling his career as a dentist. What’s fascinating is that all the art you see in the game was created using MS Paint. The writing portion of the game is handled by Cassandra Khaw, a writer who contributed to creating a memorable narrative that keeps players engaged. Under Khaw’s direction, the game’s storyline and elements were shaped into an engaging and chilling experience.
The music in the game sets the mood, and in World of Horror this character is played by ArcOfDream and Qwesta, who composed the game’s unforgettable tunes. There has been interest in bringing World of Horror to consoles since 2020, with a console release date finally announced at the Nintendo Indie World Showcase in November 2022.
